The preparation of three Association standards including ultra high performance concrete: Technical Specification for prefabricated

The first working meeting was held in Beijing from August 23 to 24, 2018, when the association’s standards “ultra high performance concrete: Technical Specification for prefabricated components”, “ultra high performance concrete: Technical Specification for structural design” and “ultra high performance concrete: Technical Specification for on-site pouring construction” were prepared.

More than 40 representatives from 29 associations, scientific research institutes and relevant construction, design, production and construction units (the list is attached) attended the meeting.

The participants listened to the report on the preliminary investigation and preparation work of the standard, fully exchanged the current situation and existing problems of ultra high performance concrete (UHPC) technology, defined the division of labor and the progress of standard preparation of the participating units, and put forward opinions and suggestions on the key points such as the principle of standard preparation, the applicable object and scope of the standard, the unified coordination of the contents of the series of standards, the main chapter framework of the standard and the main technical requirements.

UHPC has the characteristics of ultra-high strength and toughness, good construction performance and excellent durability.

When it is applied in projects abroad, it can realize the lightness of structures and the diversification of buildings, and can also be used as a repair material for the reinforcement of existing structures.

At present, the engineering application of UHPC in China is still at the initial stage.

A few cases include steel UHPC light pavement, UHPC steel-concrete composite bridge tower, UHPC panel, UHPC main beam and UHPC joint reinforcement in bridge engineering.

As an important engineering structure material in the future, related technologies and products are rapidly developing and expanding.

UHPC technology in Europe has been relatively mature, and North America, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and China are following and catching up.

The three standards of ultra-high performance concrete: Technical Specification for prefabricated components, ultra-high performance concrete: Technical Specification for structural design and ultra-high performance concrete: Technical Specification for on-site pouring construction are all the standards of the association approved in 2018.

They will make corresponding technical provisions for the production, structural design and on-site construction of UHPC components, fill in the gaps of relevant domestic UHPC standards, and provide a basis for UHPC to vigorously develop prefabricated buildings It has laid a solid foundation for popularization and application under the background of improving the service life and performance of the structure.
