Cover article | research progress on mechanical behavior of thermosetting composite wire laying components

[author] Xu Qiang [unit] State Key Laboratory of fluid power and electromechanical system, Zhejiang University [Abstract] automatic fiber placement (AFP) technology is an advanced composite automatic manufacturing technology with low cost and high performance.

In order to make full use of the laying deformation and adhesion characteristics of prepreg to improve the laying quality, the research status at home and abroad is summarized from two aspects: the correlation mechanism between the deformation adhesion behavior of prepreg tow and process parameters and the influence mechanism of typical process defects on the mechanical behavior of components, and the influence mechanism of process parameters and process defects on the mechanical behavior of composite wire laying components is analyzed; Finally, the research contents and scientific problems related to the mechanical behavior of composite wire laying components are put forward.

Theresearcheffortsinthefutureareprobablygoingtofocusonthe developmentandrelatedscientificproblemsofthemechanicalbehaviorofAFP-relatedcomposites.
