Treatment of oil leakage at welding joints of main transformer with prefabricated parts

Construction background: a 16000kva main transformer in a certain place in Hubei Province was found to have oil leakage during patrol inspection.

After careful inspection, it was found that it was the oil leakage problem of seal welding interface.

The manufacturer’s personnel rushed to the site and analyzed that it may be caused by poor welding or burning through at the interface (straight seam and transverse seam, vertical seam joint, welding rod replacement joint, etc.).

In addition, sometimes there are pores in the steel itself.

These defects are not obvious in the initial stage of operation due to the adhesion of welding slag and paint.

However, with the electromagnetic and mechanical vibration of the transformer and the increase of oil temperature, the oil gradually leaks out of these trachomas, pores and cracks.

Process flow: 1.

Clean the oil stain on the leakage part of the main transformer and polish the surrounding of the leakage part to expose the primary metal color; 2.

Clean up and ensure that the surface is clean, dry, solid and rough after surface treatment; 3.

Use fast curing materials to block the leakage parts in a small range until there is no leakage; 4.

Paint the preformed mold with high polymer oil resistant material, bond it to the oil leakage part of the main transformer, keep the pressure for a period of time, and let it solidify initially.

Effect & advantage: this kind of macromolecule plugging material is an organic, high-strength phenolic epoxy composite material, which has good high-temperature resistance and chemical corrosion resistance.

It is well adhered to various metals, concrete, glass, plastic, rubber and other materials.

It can treat the leakage in many environments and be applied to the corrosion leakage of various tanks and transformers,..
